Description of ATHEXIM research area :
ATHEXIM research is dedicated to the development of new theoretical and experimental methodologies to study molecular interactions and dynamics. The components are expert in NMR, molecular biophysics, analytical and theoretical chemistry. ATHEXIM’s strength is in coupling experiments with theory, taking advantage of the instruments onsite (NMR spectrometers, ATR-FTIR and RAMAN, UV-VIS, DLS), off-site (SAXS and SANS), as well as the onsite computing capacity (GPU and CPU clusters). Using molecular modelling and simulations together with DFT, post-HF, QSARS and QSPR, ATHEXIM can run the challenge of characterizing the structure and interactions from short living species to large dynamic systems, spanning from atomic to nano- and mesoscale.
ATHEXIM fundamental research finds a wide variety of applications, mainly health-related, such as drug discovery, inhibitors and biomarkers identification.
