The “Information Systems” department includes two IT specialists – who provide technical support for the laboratory’s research and administrative groups on a daily basis – and one communication officer who collects and disseminates scientific news from the research carried out at the laboratory.
Its main missions include :
- the management of the laboratory’s infrastructure (network, servers under virtualized architecture, a computer park of about 350 workstations),
- the development of the information system based on business specific softwares,
- the securing and valorisation of scientific heritages
- the implementation of the laboratory’s communication strategy
- the dissemination of the results and highlights of the laboratory’s research work
The CNRS Information Systems Security Policy is applied throughout the institute, with the aim of guaranteeing the protection of scientific assets in accordance with three fundamental principles:
- availability of IT resources (network, system, web services)
- security, protection & confidentiality of scientific assets (management of access rights, encryption, systematic installation of antivirus software on workstations)
- data integrity and backup of IT data
